Illusion Of Gaia

The Regular Edition
Hello dear readers! This is October's fifth and last update! This week I haven't played a thing. It was a no-games week for me and it was fine. Well, that's about it! This week, have a look at the fabulous landscape in Wolfe Wallace's Illusion Of Gaia submission. Just like his last Secret Of Mana piece, this one is very colorful and bright. Look at that sky! And the clouds! There is a great atmospherical perspective with less detail in the background and more shadows and lines in the foreground. Doing that helps create depth effectively. Sure looks like a long way to walk. I know not everyone is excited with the imminent DS port of Chrono Trigger, but those that are will be pleased with this Lucca piece by Jackson Ferrell. He says he did this picture to honor the qualities he finds in her. Although I'm not sure I can see the character's skill, I sure can see the sense of wonder at the universe. Her eyes are bright and happy at the look of the starlit sky. I can't say for myself because I haven't played the game, but next picture is a spoiler for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. So if you haven't played it and prefer not being spoiled, don't look! Otherwise, you can observe Jessica Channer's interpretation of Midna. I believe her legs are on the short side, but other than that it looks really good. I like the round thing I can't name behind her. Good textures there. The fourth picture this week is Yunastar96's Lenne Fairy. Read her comments to find out how this character was born. The pose is a bit crooked, but for some reason I find it works well. The clothes and hair show great movement. They create some kind of spiral around the character. Good use of space and a balanced composition. Keep on drawing! Lastly, have a look at Red's Final Fantasy IV picture featuring Rydia and the Myst Dragon. Rydia's outfit looks nice and she appears to be really happy. Good color choice in general, but I think the character is too centered in the frame. Look at all that unoccupied space behind her! Thank you for your submissions and thank you readers for checking out this week's update. Be sure to read the unfortunately lonely comic. This week, the Empire's soldiers raid the mines and begin their search for the frozen Esper! ...but you don't get to see it, though.
