The Puzzle Edition

Yay! Another friday, another Fan Art update! This week ended pretty fast and I'm happy about that. I liked the feedback from last week, so continue posting on the forums. After playing a few hours of Children of Mana, I understand why it's not such a great game. I did play Mother 3 this week and it's a lot of fun. I recommend it!

The top picture this week is Sean Mason's Heirs of Zeal, featuring Schala and Janus from Chrono Trigger. This piece reminds me of old sci-fi shows. I have never watched any of them, but for some reason, that is what it brings to my mind. I like the coloring and the light flowing from everywhere. Notice also the deep shadows cast by the light. At first sight I liked the hand, but for some reason I think there's a problem there...

Next up is Jessica Channer's Eiko picture accompanied by lovely moogles. This is a good interpretation of the original character. I never liked the game's Eiko. Always thought she looked like a rat or some other small critter. Even if it is still quite cartoony, the artist's version makes Eiko a bit more human.

Last week you saw the Final Fantasy X ladies having fun at the beach. This week Aeris, Yuffie and Tifa spend the evening at Costa Del Sol's beach. Same style, same concept as last time. The artist chose a good color palette although some warmer colors could have been used for the highlights on the characters. But honestly, I'm just happy Hojo is nowhere to be seen. Thank you, Nrrork.

We get another Lucas Cersaine picture this week, this time featuring characters from Tales of Symphonia. I'm sure all of the site's Montoks are happy to have some Tales love here in Fan Art this week! Characters are well drawn and shaded and look alive with emotion. I don't know what happened, but Zelos is clearly making fun of Sheena. The weak side of the drawing would be the background. It gets blended in the characters and creates some confusion. Less detail or some bluring in the background would have helped.

Last picture for today is by Boum. I like the character's pose and the inclusion of a hint of color for the playing card. Black and white is perfect for Setzer. I always thought he looked kinda pale. He should eat healthier food and get some sun exposure. By the look in his eyes, you know he's preparing something. Good classic Boum drawing overall!

That's it for this time! Enjoy this week's comics. The Narshe raid continues this week with Terra attacking the soldiers at the entrance of the neutral town. In Twin Moons, follow Edge as he thinks about his parents and his time with the rest of the party. Thank you for reading and watching and see you next week for more fan art!
